This is a difficult time for many organisations which is generating a lot of HR challenges. 

One of the most difficult is having to consider and manage redundancies. We can advise you on what you must legally do and also what you might consider as additional good practice such as career planning and coaching.

 Common questions include; 
What timescales do we need to work to comply with consultation and notice periods?
How do you select people at risk of redundancy?
What do you tell people and how best can you keep everyone informed?

 We can work with managers and trustees in voluntary organisations to develop and implement a plan. 

We can also offer advice on other areas of HR such as employment policies, consultation with employees and Trade Unions, TUPE transfers, recruitment, performance management and pay and reward.

 Red Gem has a strong understanding of voluntary and public sector organisations including their values and cultures and we have dealt with these challenges ourselves as managers. This service is provided by Linda Garnett MCIPD who is an experienced HR professional. She has a postgraduate diploma in HR management and has held a number of senior HR posts including being appointed as the first Board level HR Director for NHS Logistics in 2000. Previous clients include Derby Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, NHS East Midlands, Mansfield CVS and WAIS.
